Earring Hoops - Designs by Josephine Denis
"My name is Josephine Denis.
I am Gweekeloug from Tsatisnukwami on the BC Coast. Learning about Residential Schools and even what the Sixty's Scoop was changed my life. Being a 'Sixty's Scooper' and the daughter of a residential school survivor, I began to understand my life experience. I became a foster parent for 12 years and then became a youth care provider for 15 years.
Over the past few years, I have gone through 4 major surgeries. In that, lots of time for crafting, which has led to creating these 'Hoops with a Story' representing Indigenous Life Experiences or Culture. I hope they make your heart happy!
Thanks for reading!
